Sims 2: The Bunker

Last post, I promised pregnancy, and not only do you get that, but you also get… a community. Because no test is complete without seeing what does and doesn’t work on a community lot.
So, without further ado, welcome back to
Edit: There was supposed to be a cut here. Sorry about killing your reading lists with Magical Vanishing Cut.
While Grant was at work and Babette was minding her own business, The Bunker sprung up next to them. Grant’s friend Shannon O’Brien immediately invited them on an outing, now that there was someplace to actually go to.
Grant’s focused on the taxi outside that they’re supposed to be getting into; Babette had other ideas. And now she’s annoyed that he’s ignoring her for the taxi, I guess.
Due to either Too Many Jukeboxes, or one Fallout Radio that wasn’t working right, I kept having problems getting them to the lot, until I finally deleted most of the radios on lot.
All this taxi-hopping made Babette pregnant. See, I promised you babby formation, and I delivered made good on that.
Then I remembered that I have Bon Voyage. They don’t have to take a taxi; they can walk to the damned lot.
Walking to the building next door: easier than taking a taxi. Which should be obvious, but.
Babette tracks down Shannon (yes, Shannon is a man) to apologize for taking the entire goddamn outing timer just to get to the lot next door. He doesn’t mind too much.
Grant, of course, decided to check out the inside of the bunker, starting with the underground first level.
He decides he’s going to play pool. Good plan.
He decides he’s going to play pool versus the Unsavory Charlatan. Not sure that’s a good plan.
Babette appreciates some grungified art.
The first floor of the Bunker is a happening place, but Babette’s a pregnant lady, and bored.
Fortunately, the second floor has a restaurant!
“Nice to meet you! We’re always happy to serve pregnant ladies.”
Definitely more up her alley than sitting around watching Grant play pool.
Meanwhile, Grant has moved on to magazines. Now their house can be truly messy!
It was also time to send that purple shirt away in favor of something more… I don’t know. Rundown? Brown? Not bright purple and blue?
I also did a quick check to make sure his formal wear wasn’t something ridiculous like a pink tux. It’s a tux, but not pink. Fair enough.
Being a nice guy, he also decided to buy some jewelry for his wife fianceé girlfriend Babette.
Babette loves her new jewelry.
And that’s about where things stand so far.
Bonus shot: Normally I try to avoid any screenshots where the Macrotastics macro box is visible, but in this case, I had to take one of a walkby with one of the best generated names ever.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is Robin Hood.
Until next time!

Date: 2010-06-25 03:10 pm (UTC)How does the mysterious pregnancy work? Sadie's been trying to have her Sim become Randomly Pregnant by woohoo with partner and.. I think her Sim must be getting tired by now, even with maxmotives.
(At least she's been amused?)
Remus and Oshima have been trying to get the Lupin alien children through university. Most are in their final portion of junior year, with Kylie in the first half of senior. Getting there! Plenty of screencaps of that experience next week from the library, along with a certain eagerness to see the final sequence of university take place.

Date: 2010-06-25 07:40 pm (UTC)The mysterious pregnancy, alas, was that I'd been using ACR to "try for baby" and somehow missed hearing the lullaby that indicates success. So it was SUDDEN BABY mainly because I wasn't paying attention, and didn't realize she was pregnant until I saw the morning sickness in the toilet. (And then failed to take screenshots of it. Gah.)
...for reasons I can't comprehend, Babette is solidly not in love with Grant, though he's head over heels for her. So, they can woohoo through ACR and try for baby through ACR, but marriage? No, not even with 100/100 relationship values. But she likes him well enough, I guess?

THIS, I am looking forward to. I never got a chance to finish sending the Sim children from last time through college...

Will be trying that out sometime, definitely.Edit: Damn, I can't. It requires FT and AL, which aren't out for the Mac, and probably never will be.)no subject
